Verbos Irregulares

Quando o Past Simple e o Past Participle não terminam em –ed (exemplo: I saw; I have seen), o verbo é irregular.

Exemplo:

Don’t hit her. (infinitive)

Somebody hit me as I came into the car. (past simple).

Have you ever hit anybody in your life? (past participle – present perfect)

Jenny was hit on the arm by a Stone. (past participle – passive)

Could you tell me where you were? (infinitive).

She told me she was in London last week. (past simple).

Have you told anybody about your new girlfriend? (past participle – present perfect)

I was told to stay here for a while. (past participle – passive)

Exemplo (wake/woke/woken):

I’ll wake you up. (infinitive).

I woke up in the middle of the night. (past simple)

The kids have woken up. (past participle – present perfect)

She was woken up by a loud noise (past participle – passive).
